About The Stockdale and Floyd Family Tree
~We each carry a legacy of our forefathers and pass along a heritage to our offspring~

A family record is more than names, dates and places. It is about people, what they did,the why,and the how.

Welcome to the Stockdale/Floyd Family Tree!

I started this web site to give everyone the chance to see how we are all kin. I would really like to get it and keep it up to date, and in order to do that I will need everyone's help. I need names, dates, and places of your Mom,Dad,both sets of Grandparents,marriages,divorces,births,etc... If you have any stories to share please do so.

Pictures do their own story telling, and in years to come a lot can be learned from this kind of record,so if you have any photos, clippings, mementos,or documents you would like to add, please send to my email address at either hoffman525@yahoo.com or kjenks427@yahoo.com.Some of the pictures are small, but if you click on them they will enlarge.

I can also send out announcements!!!!

This is what I have gathered so far.Feel free to look around and get information.Sometimes I make errors that need correcting, let me know of any additions, corrections, misspellings, etc.Your friendly criticism is encouraged and will be appreciated.
Please,if you can assist with old letters, photos, birth, marriage or death certificates, wills, newspaper articles,etc....are most welcome. Any information you can provide that assists to fill in the blanks within a family line are VERY WELCOME.

All females are used using their maiden names,if it is unknown then the married name is used in ( ).
All last names are in capitalized letters.

For security reasons you need an invitation to see data and photos of living persons.

Tell everyone you are kin to about this site.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
